Welcome to Scott Hampton Photography

I want to thank you for stopping by and paying a visit to my site.

I am an amateur photographer who likes to shoot a couple of weeks each year while on vacation. I attended only one formal photography class while in college about twenty years ago. I haven't even picked up one book on photography since then. Shame on me!! I continue to look at other photographers website's and I become quite envious! So I have decided to fight back and have begun reading a few books myself. I'm hoping these books will help give me the tips I need to start making better shots! If anyone has a good suggestion for landscape photography then please email me (I'm all ears.) Also, any critiquing or suggestions will be more than welcomed.

My best shots come from the "Canyon Country" set simply because that is where I spend most of my vacation time.

Almost all of my shots are NOT enhanced. Any photos that have been enhanced will be noted when you click on it. Most photos are taken with a Canon 1n 35mm film camera using mostly Velvia film.

I have recently purchased a Canon XTi dSLR (Sept. 2006.) One thing I really like about dSLR is the number of shots I now take. It allows me more freedom to explore different angles/exposures... though it takes a lot longer to weed out the junk.

Please click on any set in the menu (on the left) to explore my photographs.
